Hoʻoulu Kumu Hoʻoulu Lāhui is a study designed to better understand how to recruit and prepare new generations of Hawaiian culture-based (HCB) educators and increase the total number of Native Hawaiians entering the teacher workforce.

This is a humble request for you to participate in this important study that is collecting thoughts and experiences affecting career choices. As a college student or teacher, you are being requested to complete a short online survey. You will be asked to respond by rating factors that may be influential in becoming an educator, and more specifically a HCB teacher. For your information, we are also reaching out to numerous public and private school students and teachers throughout Hawaiʻi’s communities.

You have until April 15th 2022 to access the survey from any device connected to the internet at https://www.hooulukumu.net/survey/. You will provide your consent to participate on the first survey question.

Voluntary Participation: Participation in this project is voluntary. You may choose to freely participate or not. In addition, at any point during the survey, you can withdraw your permission without any penalty by stopping out of responding. All responses are anonymous, your identity will not be disclosed.
